Уникальный проект под названием «Ударная Среда» родился в Москве. Поначалу даже продвинутые музыканты воспринимали его чужеземцем.
Выглядело это так: в определенный день недели, какой – догадаться несложно, – любители драйва и барабанных палочек встречались и в непринужденной обстановке делились секретами мастерства, которые использовались в разных стилях музыки. А заодно ненавязчиво пропагандировали свое искусство под живой перфоманс фанатов drum-сцены. Публика вступала в свободный диалог с исполнителями, задавая подчас неожиданные вопросы. Внешний хаос, царивший по ходу концертов-встреч, не только не пугал участников, а, напротив, благоприятствовал творчеству. «Ударная Среда» пришлась по душе, ее обласкивала пресса. Музыкальная и любознательная Тверь не осталась в стороне, и проект перекочевал в наши края.
Свой в «Среде» своих
Знакомьтесь: Алексей Бабенков, вдохновитель проекта, педагог и музыкант, бесконечно преданный своему делу. «Мы за мир!» – всякий раз повторяет он перед началом очередной встречи, указывая при этом на свою футболку с надписью «Peace», ставшую символом команды и непременным атрибутом одежды. Это слово как нельзя лучше характеризует атмосферу, царящую во время концертов. Но «Peace» – это не только логотип, украшающий футболки, это еще и название известной музыкальной фирмы по производству ударных инструментов, поддерживающей наших земляков.
– Алексей Геннадьевич, музыканты называют вас основателем тверского проекта, который прочно занял свою нишу в музыкальном мире. Хотелось бы узнать, как все начиналось.
– Пять лет назад мой ученик Михаил Колев, побывав на «Ударной Среде» в Москве, загорелся желанием сделать нечто подобное у нас. И предложил мне заняться воплощением этой идеи, но, поскольку загруженность была велика, я долго колебался. Однако уже после первой «Среды» загорелся, да так, что все последующие концерты начал вести сам. От «Среды» к «Среде» мы все больше убеждались в востребованности и перспективности задуманного.
Проходит «Ударная Среда» раз в месяц. Сейчас проект объединяет сразу несколько музыкальных направлений. Программа встреч состоит из двух частей — концертной и мастер-класса. Фишка прежняя: зрители по ходу задают вопросы музыкантам, а те в конце вечера вручают самым активным «интервьюерам» призы. Замечу, побывать на нашей «Ударной Среде» и продемонстрировать свое мастерство стремятся наряду с тверскими исполнителями известные столичные группы, что говорит о достаточно высоком имидже.
– Кто ваши помощники? Расскажите о команде: чем музыканты занимаются не по средам, а в другие дни недели?
– Конечно же, это Михаил Колев, о котором я уже говорил и которого очень ценю за его профессиональные качества. У Михаила отличный слух, он отвечает за звук на наших концертах, это очень важно.
Тим Орел – мой ученик и помощник, на которого тоже во всем можно смело положиться. Тим – солист филармонии и преподаватель ДШИ №3. Он продолжает те традиции и ту школу, которой я верен уже много лет. Мы всегда рядом, я считаю его своим преемником.
Анна Дегтярева – наш бессменный фотограф. Хотя она не работает в музыкальной сфере, это очень творческий человек.
Владимир Лобанов – мой выпускник по классу вокала Тверского училища культуры им. Львова. Помогает нам в технических и организаторских вопросах.
Евгений Сиротин – видеооператор, чье мастерство можно оценить по записям, которые он делает.
У нас настоящая команда: один за всех – и все за одного! Поначалу желающих работать было хоть отбавляй. Время оставило самых надежных, стабильных и обязательных.
Джем-сейшн – это по-нашему
– Судя по тому, что я успел увидеть, вы не ограничиваете музыкантов, давая им полную свободу для самовыражения. Это стало концепцией музыкальных вечеров или исключением из правил?
– Я по натуре джазовый человек, а джаз рамок не признает. Если вижу, что на концерте исполнители «перебирают» по времени, погружаясь в импровизацию, я никогда их не прерываю и не останавливаю. К тому же публике такие «переборы» по душе, она заряжается энергией музыкальных фантазий.
– В чем все-таки основная цель вашего проекта?
– Приобщить людей к хорошей, качественной музыке, к стихии ударных инструментов и к миру джаза. На мой взгляд, это очень важно. Высокая культура, которая заставляет нас не только чувствовать, сопереживать, но и мыслить, будит воображение. Только увлеченный человек способен творить добро. Что касается самих исполнителей, проект позволяет им максимально проявить свои профессиональные качества, находить новых друзей и единомышленников. Музыканты не только делятся опытом, они объединяются, у них рождаются новые ансамбли и новые проекты, происходит творческое взаимообогащение.
– В Твери сравнительно недавно появился интересный коллектив, биг-бэнд под управлением Павла Смирнова. Павел играл в Москве у Сергея Жилина, прошел отличную джазовую школу. Слышал, что у вас есть совместные творческие планы.
– Да, с коллективом Павла Смирнова мы тесно сотрудничаем. Он успешно дебютировал на моем проекте «Джазовые импровизации» в 2012 году, приятно удивил публику на тридцатой по счету «Ударной Среде» в прошлом году. Уверен, у ребят не только хорошее начало, но и замечательное будущее.
– Помимо многочисленных проектов вы преподаете в музыкальной школе и в музыкальном колледже. Что вы, как педагог, считаете ключевым моментом в освоении будущей специальности?
– Моя задача помочь ученику отбросить всю внешнюю мишуру и сосредоточиться на сути избранной профессии. Нередко приходят юноши, которые первым делом стремятся научиться эффектно подбрасывать барабанные палочки. Приходится объяснять, что к музыке это не имеет отношения. К фокусам – да, к цирку – с натяжкой, а музыка – это совершенно другое. Очень важно на начальных этапах правильно сориентировать ребят, преподнести им нужный материал, сформировать хороший вкус, привить стремление к глубинному пониманию музыкальной и общей культуры.
– А чем вы мотивируете своих учеников?
– Ну, конечно, не тем, что классный барабанщик всегда выделяется на сцене, пользуется повышенным вниманием поклонниц и прочими «плодами успеха». Все это опять-таки вторично. Нужно уметь отделять зерна от плевел, чтобы главным оставалось любимое дело, которому служишь и отдаешься полностью.
– Существует мнение, что педагог тогда добивается своего главного успеха, когда воспитанник превосходит его в мастерстве. Вы согласны с этим утверждением?
– Не устаю повторять ученикам, что ощущаю себя счастливым, если вдруг они начинают играть что-либо лучше меня. Ведь это стимулирует не только их, я сам начинаю еще усерднее над собой работать. Вообще, дух здорового соперничества и белая зависть – двигатель прогресса в любой профессии. А в нашей – тем более.
– Общаясь с ребятами из группы «Deja Vu», вашими учениками по джазовой части, заговорили о вас и о ваших проектах. Они считают, что именно вы вывели их совершенно на иной исполнительский уровень, существенно повлияли на формирование репертуара.
– Это мои хорошие друзья. Я радуюсь их успехам и при необходимости всегда поддерживаю. В составе группы мой выпускник Андрей Катков, блестяще владеющий ударной установкой. Кстати, в соцсетях я у них числюсь «дедушкой». Так что это мои «внуки» (улыбается).
Со звездами накоротке
Наша беседа с Алексеем Бабенковым проходила в музыкальном колледже, в классе, стены которого увешаны афишами и фотографиями не только учеников, но и знаменитых исполнителей. Атмосфера маленького кабинета, где «без обид» умещается множество ударных инструментов, умиротворяла и располагала к доверию. Разглядываю фотографию – Бабенков с Игорем Бутманом.
– Вы знакомы с Бутманом?
– Да, с Игорем меня познакомил в 1998 году Александр Ростоцкий, выпускник нашего училища и основатель московского Бас-театра. Таких людей, как Бутман, немного, но они, слава Богу, есть на земле. У него большая и открытая душа, которая наполнена музыкой и любовью к человечеству. Часто вспоминаю один случай, это было в Твери. Идет он после концерта – жара, солнце. В руках два инструмента, рубашка мокрая, лицо уставшее… А тут подбегает журналист и задает абсолютно неуместный в данной ситуации вопрос: «Интервью давать будете?» Игорь остановился, вздохнул, ответил: «Буду». И очень доброжелательно улыбнулся. Маленький штрих, но весьма показательный.
– Наверное, многие ваши ученики стремятся быть такими, как он?
– Безусловно, должны быть кумиры, на которых хочется равняться. Но при этом следует оставаться самим собой и усиленно заниматься тем, что любишь. Ведь масштаб дарования у всех разный, да и цели тоже. Нужно научиться трезво соизмерять свои устремления с возможностями и стараться быть максимально лучшим в своем деле.
– Вы работали с Сергеем Жилиным, когда он выступал в нашей филармонии, расскажите об этом.
– Дружеские и творческие отношения у нас сложились давно. Мне посчастливилось вести его концерт. Замечательный человек, профессионал и труженик. Я очень дорожу этим знакомством.
– А как возникла идея создать в музучилище факультатив «джазовой импровизации»?
– В Тверь много лет назад приезжал Даниил Крамер, выпускник музыкально-педагогического института им. Гнесиных, всемирно известный джазовый пианист и выдающийся педагог. А мы с музыкантом и моим другом Владимиром Ишиевым тогда уже вовсю играли джаз. Даниил заразил меня идеей преподавания и тем, как он это преподносит. А заявление: «Приходите ко мне с ребенком, и я его за 30 минут научу играть джаз» – просто поразило. Именно после встречи и общения с Крамером появилось желание открыть факультатив.
Говорить с Алексеем Бабенковым можно до бесконечности. Главное – есть о чем. Так что до новых встреч.
