Информационные агентства распространили информацию об условно-досрочном освобождении учителя Ильи Фарбера, осужденного за получение взятки при строительстве сельского клуба. Суровый приговор Фарберу вызвал большой общественный резонанс.
Напомним, что в августе 2012 года в соответствии с решением Тверского областного суда, сельский учитель был отправлен за решетку на 8 лет. Кроме того, ему был назначен штраф в размере 3,2 миллиона рублей. Впоследствии срок лишения свободы был снижен до 7 лет и 1 месяца колонии строго режима.
В сентябре прошлого года в интервью «Первому каналу» Владимир Путин назвал этот случай «вопиющим». «Неожиданно» прокуратура пересмотрела свою позицию и внесла в суд апелляционное представление о пересмотре наказания Фарберу. 11 декабря 2013 года Тверской областной суд уменьшил срок до 3 лет колонии, оставив в силе решение о наложении штрафа в размере 3 миллионов рублей.
Ходатайство Фарбера об УДО было удовлетворено Московским районным судом Твери 31 декабря 2013 года.
В результате Фарбер провел в заключении 2 года и 4 месяца. После освобождения он заявил о своей готовности бороться за права осужденных. Кроме того, Илья Фарбер сообщил, что будет обжаловать наложенный на него судом штраф.
Илья Фарбер: я готов сотрудничать с участницами Pussy Riot
Вышедший сегодня на свободу по УДО «сельский учитель» Илья Фарбер, ранее осужденный за взятку, заявил корреспонденту «Газеты.Ru», что не исключает возможности сотрудничества с участницами Pussy Riot в области правозащитной деятельности. «Я открыт к предложениям», — сказал господин Фарбер. Ранее бывший заключенный подтвердил намерение стать правозащитником, причем помогать не только заключенным, но и сотрудникам ФСИН.
